Teaching Philosophy

The aim at Little Friends Preschool is to provide families with a program that will promote the well-being and emotional development of their children by meeting each child's needs for social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.

Our play-based program is designed to offer stimulating and fun activities geared to increase knowledge, fine motor and large motor development, and communication and social skills. Children begin to develop to their full potential when they are feeling loved and accepted, and know that their environment is safe, healthy, and positive. Children who feel confident build self-esteem, which then develops their sense of self-worth and self-acceptance. The teachers at Little Friends strive to respond to the childrens' needs by understanding and having realistic expectations of what each child is capable of achieving. In other words, expectations are matched to each individual's level of development.
